Kz Krew is a very small breeding program in hopes of producing champion quality; show AKC Chihuahua’s located in central FL, in east Orlando, Florida.
We have been breeding for 8 years and actively making our program better with quality stock and select breeding for the last 3 years. We hold membership in the TBCC.
We are about to have our first litter of potentially hopeful show babies. We have one select AKC stud that will be the sire of some of the pups at some point. I do not allow him to stud to outside bitches of any kind. We prefer the classic look and actions of a short (smooth) coat Chihuahua’s but we have a wonderful tempered line of long coat Chihuahua’s as well. In my opinion, long coat and smooth coat Chihuahua’s act very different but I feel eventually they will share each others assets and these are exciting times for this breed.
I have been with the company of a Chihuahua my entire life. My grandmother had a Chihuahua for as long as I can remember, all of her life. This is my breed of choice and the only dogs we will have. My dogs are in my home and adults and pups get 24hr attention. New litters are very time consuming and pampered to produce the best possible companion, pet or show prospect we can. Hopefully our efforts are an improvement on the breed or at least a major attempt to produce up to AKC standard Chihuahua’s. We do not breed the gene called MERLE. We do not want to deal with the mutations that could possibly come along with this color gene. It is my understanding it is not a naturally occurring color of this breed. This is a choice I made from day 1.
Some of our dogs will stay here for future evaluation and some will be looking for a new loving home to call their own. We will selectively produce one litter a year in hopes of a show puppy to handle, finish and call our own. The puppies that are in that litter who don’t make the cut will be offered for placement. This does not mean it is not a nice puppy, It means we had the other pup to watch and keeping it would not be fair to someone who could offer him/her a loving Chihuahua home. This puppy, adolescent or adult would have to be spayed/neutered unless discussed with me in advance.
We offer many options for anyone to view our stock. There are many venues online such as FACEBOOK, PINTEREST, SKYPE, YAHOO, YOUTUBE and of course our website that one could easily use for viewing or real time video.
There are a variety of AKC Chihuahua breeders online and I have an extensive network for reference, and advise, some I would like to thank for all of their unconditional support over the years while FLORIDACHI continues to learn more and more about the Chihuahua.
